News from Aarhus, Denmark

Hi everyone....finally got some pictures from Nate. He says that the fields are in bloom and everything smells wonderful because of the abundance of flowers. Kinda funny that he would notice that...Ü He and his companion were instrumental in the conversion of a fellow named Rune. He was baptized and confirmed by members (a process called basketweaving) in an effort to incorporate the members into the new members lives more. He loves it, says the food is good, but he doesn't like spray deodorant. They have been able to take a few trips to interesting places on P-Day. He sends his love and asks that you all remember them in your prayers.

That's it for now....loves, Char

It's That Time of Year - when the world .... graduates!

Hello again from me and mine. Humor me - before long all the excitement will be over and I'll have next to nothing worth bragging about. These are just a few of the fun snaps we took at Miss' graduation. Like I said, it was an absolutely perfect day and she was so patient to let us capture the memories. We were so glad that mum and Char were able to make it and we missed the rest of you. Miss is already getting a little restless in her new life of leisure. I think she actually enjoyed the whole "school" experience. She will be leaving for Alaska in June and we'll see what happens from there. Hope you all are enjoying the abundance of sunshine. Love - Jan.

High School Graduation

Hi everyone....thanks for posting Jan! I love reading the newest!

Our best Mother's Day treat was talking to Nate....he is loving the work in Denmark and promises pictures soon. He said he has learned lots of things about himself...(that's good!)...and others...(that's better!) Apparently, there are a lot of folks who like to argue their points in Danish so he's got challenges.

Sean is graduating this month...it's going by so quickly!!! I'm a little sad....(only a little)....with my baby leaving home....some of you know that feeling. But, he's so excited, it's hard not to be excited with him. He is going to begin school in the fall at ISU and finish a year before leaving for his mission...he's a young one, just turning 18 on June 6th.

We had such a great visit with Russ last month....Jan and I went over. He has things going on all the time, but I'll let him call and tell you or else he can post.....We miss you already bud.

Don't forget, everyone should post the fun stuff going on in their fams.

Much love, Char

Humor Me

Also some pics of her receiving the undergrad student of the year award. She said this REU project is the gift that just keeps on giving, as it just never seems to come to an end. Tata -- Jan.

My Little "Scientist"

Hey Fam - Miss' graduation was great. In fact, I would have to say it was the perfect day ... I wouldn't change a single thing. Thanks to mom and Char, Chris and Mark who were able to come. I haven't gotten the goods from the "picture takers" yet, but will share as soon as I do. This is an article about Miss from USU's online news.

I want all you wonderful moms know how great and valued you are by me, your families and the people around you. Hope you have a memorable and happy Mother's Day. A special Mother's Day wish for a great day and a hug to mom for all she's done for me and for her influence that I continue to feel throughout my life. Love - Jan.
