Update from Logan

Those "back breaking" summers have finally paid off! Melissa will be presenting at "Undergraduate Research Day" on January 24th in the rotunda of the state capitol in Salt Lake. Every year, research students pull their data together and present findings to legislators and the public ~ you're all welcome to drop in. To the right is a summary of what she could squeeze in inbetween her extra curricular activties in Alaska (click on the file to enlarge). Also, a snap at work that will be posted, along with a write up, in Utah State Today (a USU online news source - see http://www.usu.edu/ust/index.cfm?article=23534).

PS -- Wes just got transferred to Medicine Hat, a 3 hour drive south & east of Calgary near the Eastern Alberta border. Check it out on your maps. He will be a District Leader there.
Hope all is well ~~ Jan.

Happy New Year!

Today is the first day of 2008! I have to say, I never thought I would really see these years....it always seemed so-o-o-o far away when I was young ~~ and so I am so amazed when I remember to write 2008 on my checks, etc. Finally, finally, finally......here in American Falls, we have SNOW! It didn't come until just before Christmas, so we were able to keep that spirit of Thanksgiving a little longer..... but it was a welcome sight. It has been so cold that it has actually stayed white, and how beautiful that is. Christmas was lovely.....although it was a very quiet day without Nate. In his letter he assured us that he is loving his experience at the MTC ~~ so far. I have sent you all his email address, and you are free to email him. That address may change when he leaves for Danmark, but for now and the next several weeks, that is the best way to get in touch with him.

We have been sledding and visiting and playing and really taking advantage of these holiday days! These are some pictures of Lani's kids who had to come to Mimi and Papa's house to see snow! They had a really good (freezing!) time sledding in the backyard.

Have a happy day today! Think of things that would bless your life as you make resolutions and pursue them! At least that is my plan!
Love to all!
